About Me
John Harbison is the Executive Vice President at LAC Group, responsible for leadership and development of the LibSource business. He has over 35 years of experience in private law firm library management, legal research, and is experienced in the application of technology in libraries and the overall practice of law.
Prior to joining LibSource, John was the Director, Library & Information Management at Covington & Burling, the Manager of Knowledge Services and Acting Director of the library at Howrey LLP. He has also held network administration, library, records and information management positions for Dickstein, Shapiro & Morin, Collier, Shannon, Rill & Scott, and Kutak Rock. His extensive career in the DC law firm world has been focused on the intersection of information and technology. He is driven by positive change and the desire to make a difference.
John received his Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science (MLIS) from the University of Maryland, and his BA degree from Kenyon College. He is a long time member of the American Association of Law Libraries and the Law Librarians’ Society of Washington, DC.
